Only reason I'd take the USB ethernet is if I wanted to use a displayport monitor and didn't have two thunderbolt ports. After you remove all Thunderbolt Ethernet on each network config, save with "apply" button. Apple's USB Ethernet is limited to 100mbps. Mac OS X seems to believe that the Thunderbolt ethernet adapter is really another Thunderbolt bridge because I see two Thunderbolt bridges. I'm also using the Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter.
